Aseptic Technique Course (Silver)

This course will help you:

• Understand the meaning of aseptic technique.
• Understand how a surgical site is created.
• How to avoid contamination of a sterile field.
• Be able to define the meaning of sterility.
• Contribute to appropriate waste management.

Whilst you are in your appropriate areas of hospital work, you will observe staff undertaking procedures that require them to use aseptic techniques to render their hands/arms and the patient’s clinical area, wound, proposed surgical site, etc, as free from microorganisms as possible.
