Theresa Petty

Managing Director

Theresa starter her journey in the healthcare sector back in 2016 at Wellards as a Support Executive, before moving into the NHS as a Senior Administrator. In 2018, she joined MIA as a Customer Service Executive, and has been lucky enough to grow with the company ever since. Today, she is proud to be Mannaging Director.

Her time at MIA has been shaped by a deep understanding of our operations, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. I am especially proud of the work we have done to enhance customer experiences and support the strategic growth of the business.

As Managing Director, she leads with a people-first mindset, striving to balance innovation with purpose, while staying true to the values that make MIA what it is.

Outside of work, Theresa enjoys travelling, long coastal walks, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with her family. In February this year, she became a grandmother for the first time and is cherishing every moment of this new chapter.

Belinda Walter
Belinda Walter

Chief Operating Officer

Belinda started at Wellards in 2013 and began supporting the MIA service not long after joining. As MIA grew, she got involved in more areas of the service, including card annual renewals and training revalidations, as well as assisting with the all-important invoicing! Like others on the team, she moved with MIA when it was taken over by Medical Industry Ltd and now ensures the smooth running of the invoicing function. Her previous experience as an event manager means she remains organised and focused at all times.

When she is not at work or being a school-run mum, Belinda enjoys reading, going on long walks with the family and the odd bit of baking when time allows.

Tanya
Tanya Willingham

Operations Manager

Tanya joined the Medical Industry team in November 2023 after spending 9 years in customer services in the medical devices industry.

If she isn’t running around after her 2 young daughters she’ll be in the gym or enjoying a long walk with her new puppy Beau!

She loves a good cup of tea and an occasional red wine and enjoys trying out new places to eat.

Matt Marley
Matt Marley

Head of Business Development

I’ve worked in customer services for Royal Mail before moving into their London Sales and Internation Sales teams.  I’ve over 20 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries before coming to MIA.

I currently run my own martial arts club here in Bedford (Kendo) which is Japanese sword fighting.  I’ve practiced this for around 20 years now and still take part in a few competitions throughout the year.  Additionally, I teach Les Mills BodyCombat at my local gym and as you already know, I love riding my Harley whenever possible.

I’ve two children, Phoebe, who is studying law in St Albans and Harrison who is currently travelling in Australia.

Laura (1)
Laura Cull

Senior Healthcare Account Manager

Laura has worked in the healthcare industry for the last 15 years, starting in the healthcare research sector with Medicys Ltd and then joining the MIA team under Wellards before transferring to Medical Industry in 2017.

Her role mainly involves working closely with healthcare providers and their accounts, although she can sometimes be found working in other areas of the business with cardholders and developing MIA.

Laura is an avid watersports fan and can be found in, around or even under the water from swimming to paddleboarding to kayaking and even scuba diving!  When she's not in the water she can be found on two wheels, cycling around the forest trails where she lives in the New Forest or helping the local Scout Group as a Team Member and as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees.

Tom
Tom Rees

Senior Healthcare Account Manager

Tom joined the MIA team in October 2019 and, true to form, hasn’t really sat still since.

Initially joining the Customer Service Team, Tom’s role included providing support to cardholders and companies, helping them to become MIA Compliant.

From here, Tom took a Senior role, helping the Leadership Team put in place policies across the department.

Tom then bounced over to the Hospitals Team and now works directly with NHS and Private Healthcare Providers across the UK, training staff to use the MIA System, and working with Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance professionals to expand the use of MIA to different departments and new hospitals.

With a background in digital marketing and business administration, Tom is always thinking creatively, and as such has helped with MIA’s social media platforms, and has played a role in simplifying some of our internal processes.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with close friends and family, and can usually be found out for dinner/drinks on a rooftop, or on the sofa with his dog, Tipsy (Tom’s dog’s name, not his state) watching terrible reality television.

Accounts Assistant

Lauren joined MIA in October 2025, having previously worked in the heating and plumbing industry in customer service and accounts.

Outside of work, she’s usually ferrying her two boys, aged 9 and 12, to and from football training or watching their matches. Her husband coaches their youngest son’s team, and as a family of Crystal Palace FC supporters, life outside the office pretty much revolves around football!

When she does manage a break from the pitch, Lauren enjoys family board game nights, dining out, or catching up with friends for drinks and a fun activity like an escape room, shuffleboard, or axe throwing.

Sophie
Sophie Wood

Client Relations Executive

I live at home with my, as of August this year, husband, and little Shih-Tzu cross Pug Ted in the little village of Burwash. Ted is a very sassy, one-eyed boy who is famous amongst the villagers for thinking the local pub is his own! Outside of work, we enjoy classic countryside pubs, spending time with family, puzzles from the newspaper on the daily and binge-watching Netflix! My tipple of choice is always a cold, very dry Rose. I have extensive intricate knowledge of the Healthcare world and hospitals, after being a patient at a lot of the major London ones! Having Cystic Fibrosis, Type 1 diabetes, and having a double lung transplant back in 2012, working in healthcare and helping people is my true passion, and a way of giving back for how they have helped me. Working within insurance, primarily around Customer Service and Relations gives me the upper hand with MIA. Medical Terminology and 2010 Music is my go-to during a good quiz, where I can get very competitive! (Hopefully in a good way..)
